How fees are set

MOHU (state concession) — Statutory concession company for the Hungarian EPR system; WEEE fee codes and amounts set by Decree 33/2025. (XI. 28.) EM, Annex 4.

Hungary sets WEEE fees in law rather than by scheme tariff, in the same annex of the same ministerial decree that already carries the Hungarian packaging, textile and battery codes in this dataset. Annex 4 gives six electrical codes, E01 to E06, and five of them are the Directive categories almost word for word: heat exchange equipment, screens over 100 cm2, lamps, large equipment over 50 cm, and photovoltaic panels over 50 cm priced separately at about half the large-equipment rate. The sixth, E06, merges Directive categories 5 and 6 into a single price for everything under 50 cm, which is why no single Directive category can be assigned to it. Lamps are the most expensive line at 419 HUF/kg and photovoltaic panels the cheapest at 63. Unlike the battery codes, every electrical code carries a municipal element in column D, uniformly 1 HUF/kg, so the fee the producer pays is the concession element plus one forint.

Declaration basis: HUF per kg by statutory fee code, collective compliance, excl. VAT; no euro normalisation applied. Official rates page: magyarkozlony.hu ↗

ᴮ bonus / discount · ᴹ malus / surcharge. Hungarian code E06 merges Directive category 5 (small equipment) and category 6 (small IT) into a single price, so its category slot is GEN rather than either one. Photovoltaic panels are priced separately and are the cheapest line in the table.
